About Us

Our goal is to produce the “ultimate” Miniature Horse … correct, proportionate, beautiful to look at horses, with exceptional style and athletic ability and the winners of Supremes and Champions!

Sheokes Miniature Horse Stud was established in 1993 after purchasing property at Muriwai, West of Auckland. We are just a 5 minute drive to Muriwai Beach and the forest. The 10 acre property is partially fenced in post and rail and divided into 26 safe paddocks. The contour is mainly flat to gently rolling and is well planted with Casuarinas (Sheokes) being the main shelter belt.

Construction is now complete on the superb new 21m x 12m American barn complex, complete with office/showroom, 6 x custom designed stables, wash bay, feed/tack area, sewing room etc and surrounded by a "park-like" setting, featuring rockeries, palms and specimen trees. We also have a customised horse walker, jumping facilities and a round pen for conditioning our show team. Our show team has competed with tremendous success over the years, taking out numerous top awards in Halter, Colour and Jumping events.

There have been many changes on the stud and we now boast a small select herd of imported stallions, mares and fillies all boasting FULL American pedigrees.  We are a small operation in order to give each of our horses the care and attention they deserve.

We are proud to present our herd, in the hope that you will also appreciate our incredible stallions and lovely mares and, as a result, the magical foals that we produce. We offer a professional facility that revolves around the needs of the horses and their owners.
